Nottingham Forest is a historic football club based in Nottingham, England, and was founded in 1865. The club is renowned for winning back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980 under legendary manager Brian Clough. Known as “The Reds,” they play their home matches at the City Ground and are celebrated for their passionate fanbase and rich footballing history.


Who:  Nottingham Forest is called "Forest" because the club was originally named after the Forest Recreation Ground, a public space in Nottingham where the team was founded in 1865. The name also reflects the historical connection to Sherwood Forest, the famous woodland associated with Nottingham and the legend of Robin Hood.

Where: City Ground was opened in 1898 and has undergone several renovations over the years. It currently has a seating capacity of approximately 30,445. The City Ground is known for its vibrant atmosphere and proximity to Meadow Lane, the home of their local rivals, Notts County, just across the river.
